Fall Break

We took a little trip up north for a couple of days for our fall break. We had a fun time, even with the chilly weather, but the trees were beautiful.  We had nice weather - just a little windy - which is always the case up there.  We spent some time at the river, saw the temple, and spent a day on campus of BYU-I.  They have some new buildings that are really pretty.  It almost makes me want to go back to school - almost.

Nemo Cake

This little guy turned 4 this year. Wow - he is growing fast.  He came to my house for a birthday party. He was pretty excited, the "worst part" was waiting for the "best part of the day" === the presents. Which there was no shortage of.  He is a funny kid. He wanted a Nemo cake this year - so that's what he got - of course!!!

50th Anniversary

Today was my in-laws 50th anniversary. I did the decorations.  Here is what the end result was. (I also made the sign-in book, and Lemon Meringue Cupcakes.

Lovin' Me Some Summertime!

Had a terrific summer.  Went to my parents a couple of times, to Lake Tahoe, had some family down, enjoyed some holiday fun and fireworks, and went to two 50th Anniversary parties.  Sadly, from here are on out, my summer fun is on limited time.

J came down and spent the weekend with us.  Had lots of fun...

April Flowers

These are long gone flowers. Here it is May and I actually have no flowers.  But these were beautiful while they lasted.  Maybe I can get to the store this weekend and get more. I need color in my yard. We were the only ones on the block with so many flowers. A couple of houses had a clump of 5-6 but that was it. I loved my tulips and daffodils!!!

What do groundhogs know?

Groundhog said spring was still 6 weeks away, but my tulips say otherwise.  Even though they are still completely surrounded by snow, they are trying to make their way up!! Can't wait!

Hiking in February?

Yep. That's right. We went hiking in February.  We left our house with 2 feet of snow on our lawn and drove to St. George where it was sunny and beautiful.  It was a tad chilly to be perfect weather, but none the less we were outside without huge coats and hats and gloves.  He hiked a little around the red rocks. It was nice to get outside and then 4 hours later - we were back to the snow covered Earth - where it continues to snow.  It was a nice break in the whiteness that surrounds us now.
