Fun Stuff.

We got tickets to "Wicked" a while back.  As school got closer, we realized that it was on the first day of school. It was a long day but we had a good time.  I was not familiar with the story or music, but it was really fun. I really liked it.

After school, we come home and continue to work on projects around the house.  P has been working really hard to get this room time before the season. He made it with minutes to spare.  If you didn't already know that I have a die hard Cougar fan here, you will after you see this.  It did turn out pretty cool I think.

This weekend calls for some tree trimming and yard cleanup. Yeah for yard work!  And maybe some other random projects around the house.   What did I ever do before I had a house to keep me busy?

BUSY, BUSY, BUSY.. almost end of summer.

We have had a busy, busy summer.  We bought a house and have been working like crazy to fix it up. It has been a lot of work and we are not done, but it is coming a long.  It is a work in progress, but we are able to make things like we want it, which has been nice.  We are learning all kinds of new skills.  How to lay tile, hardwood floor, baseboards, painting, ceiling lights, door knobs and the list goes on.  We were lucky in that we had the time, we worked on it for a month before moving in.  Thank goodness we have the summers off. And thank goodness we have such great family and friends that came and helped us out. We couldn't have done it without them!!  

Two days after moving in, we took a trip to Pennsylvania to take a break, visit with family, and see the sites!

We went to Baltimore, Philadelphia, E-town, Chambersburg (where family lives) Washington D.C.,  New York City, Gettysburg and all the sites in between.  We had a terrific time, even though it was record heat - 105 degrees!  I think I am fit to live here, that humidity is terrible. 

 Sad to see our summer winding down... quickly!
